Multi-Axis Nose-Pointing-and-Shooting in a Biomimetic Morphing-Wing Aircraft

چکیده

Modern high-performance combat aircraft exceed conventional flight-envelope limits on maneuverability through the use of thrust vectoring, and so achieve supermaneuverability. With ongoing development biomimetic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), potential for supermaneuverability mechanisms becomes apparent. So far, this has not been well studied: UAVs have yet shown to be capable any forms classical available thrust-vectored aircraft. Here we show capability, by demonstrating how morphing-wing can perform sophisticated multiaxis nose-pointing-and-shooting (NPAS) maneuvers at low morphing complexity. Nonlinear flight-dynamic analysis is used characterize extent stability multidimensional space trim states that arises from morphing. Navigating provides an effective model-based guidance strategy generating open-loop NPAS in simulation. Our results demonstrate capability air combat-relevant supermaneuverability, provide strategies exploration, characterization, further non-classical such

Modeling, simulation and analysis of a multi degree of freedom aircraft wing model

This paper presented methods to determine the aerodynamic forces that acton an aircraft wing during flight. These methods are initially proposed for asimplified two degree-of-freedoms airfoil model and then are extensivelyapplied for a multi-degree-of-freedom airfoil system. Different airspeedconditions are considered in establishing such methods. The accuracy of thepresented methods is verifie...

Analysis and Design of a Hyper-elliptical Cambered Span Morphing Aircraft Wing

Morphing aircraft are a focus today due to their ability to combine multiple mission flexibility with a single vehicle. The Hyper-Elliptical Cambered Span (HECS) wing is one such wing being developed as a testbed for morphing technologies, due to its ability to vary the spanwise curvature in order to alter a craft’s lift-to-drag performance. Through analysis of the aft-swept wing geometry and r...

Flight Testing and Response Characteristics of a Variable Gull-Wing Morphing Aircraft

Contemporary morphing designs are focused towards enabling a vehicle to transition from one distinct flight regime to another. Such a change often requires highly complex morphing that is designed to address both aerodynamic performance and handling criteria. The University of Florida has developed a morphing demonstrator to investigate the effect of a biologically-inspired gull-wing morphing o...

Morphing Wing Technologies Research

The development of innovative adaptive structures on UAVs (and UUVs), such as morphing wings, can potentially reduce system complexity by eliminating control surfaces and their auxiliary equipment. This technology has the potential of allowing a UAV to adapt to different mission requirements or executing a particular mission more effectively. The first part of the paper deals with a review of m...
